Figueroa, Lois PhD, LPC

Dr. Figueroa completed her graduate studies at New York University and a PhD from Walden University.

She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, and her clinical experience includes employee assistance, substance abuse and addiction, PTSD, bi-polar disorder, trauma, anxiety and depression. She provides an interactive therapeutic style for individuals, couples, families, children and adolescents.  She has special interest in working people that have experienced work-related issues, including stress and burnout. Dr. Figueroa integrate various methodologies and techniques to offer a personalized client centered approach. While utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy, spirituality, motivational interviewing, stages of change with solution focused strategies inclusive of compassion and understanding.

It is her belief that all people are born precious and free. Along the way, life presents challenges that could cause an individual to feel unfulfilled, empty, and that something is missing.    Dr. Figueroa is here to help you heal, explore and uncover issues that makes you feel stuck.  She understands that each person is the driver of their own life and has within them the strength to overcome obstacles. She encourages introspection and observation of behavior, rather than make judgement or engage in negative self- criticism. Dr. Figueroa believe that therapy can be transformative, as well as changing lives.
