Mehta, Sachin MD

Dr. Mehta is a Board-Certified Adult Psychiatrist and is the Medical Director at Springfield Psychological. He has a special interest in treating patients with treatment resistant depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, PTSD, ADHD, OCD, eating disorders, substance use disorders, psychosis and personality disorders. 

He believes in combining advanced psychopharmacological modalities, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and interventional psychiatry for best outcomes. He is certified in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation and has been treating patients with it since 2016. He also has an interest in using Esketamine for the treatment of depression. 

Dr. Mehta went to medical school at the Dr. D.Y. Patil Medical college in Mumbai, India, and residency at the Carilion- University of Virginia Department of Psychiatry. He served as the chief resident during his residency. 

He worked at the Belmont Behavioral Health System for the past 15 years where he served as the Division Chief for Adult Psychiatry and Medical Director of the Outpatient Program and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation program. He has been recognized as a TOP DOCTOR in the Philadelphia Magazine for the years 2018, 2019, 2020 & 2021. He has been interviewed by several regional news outlets like WHYY, 6ABC news, NBC10 news as a subject matter expert.
