Napalinga, Katherine MD
Dr. Katherine M. Napalinga earned her Medical Degree from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine. She completed specialty and subspecialty training at the Albert Einstein Medical Center Psychiatry and the Drexel University/Hahnemann University Hospital Child and Adolescent Psychiatry training programs, respectively, serving as Chief Resident for both programs.
Dr. Napalinga is a Dual Board-Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. Her interests include mood and anxiety disorders, autism, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, the interface between psychiatry and technology, as well as the accurate representation of psychiatric issues in media and literature. She believes in the implementation of evidence-based practices and the proper combination of psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, and interventional and integrative modalities in order to facilitate full recovery and maximize quality of life.
Dr. Napalinga is also a Clinical Instructor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University and the Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia Psychiatry Residency Training Programs. She served as the Associate Medical Director of the Einstein Crisis Response Center in 2016. Prior to her current appointment at the Springfield Psychological, North Wales practice, she worked for the Einstein Healthcare Network and Belmont Behavioral Health inpatient, crisis, and outpatient programs for ten years. She has been interviewed as an area expert in several local and international media outlets such as The Philadelphia Inquirer, 6abc, FOX News, WHYY, and the Philippine Daily Tribune.
