Farin, Mark LPC
Mark Farin graduated from Chestnut Hill College with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling specializing in children and adolescents in 2008. In 2019 he received his graduate certificate in behavior analysis from Pennsylvania State University.
He has experience in various mental health settings over the past 15 years including psychiatric hospitals, residential facilities, extended assessment services and outpatient programs. Mark works with individuals, couples and families. In therapy he uses Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (part of the 3rd wave of CBT). This approach is supported by psychodynamic and family systems concepts as well as trauma informed. He works with clients with anxiety disorders, depression, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, OCD, life transitions, adjustment to college, problems in school, work-life balance, men’s issues, stress management, anger management, relational problems, issues around adolescence, perfectionism, people pleasing, self-esteem and parenting/parent-child relational problems. Mark works on skills related to self-compassion, assertiveness, communication among couples and families, organization, goal setting, and productivity.
