Inverso, Ellen PsyD
Ellen Inverso, PsyD, is an internationally recognized expert in recovery-oriented cognitive therapy (CT-R) and spent a decade dedicated to its development and implementation. A licensed psychologist, Dr. Inverso collaborates with individual ages 6 to 65 using recovery-oriented cognitive therapy, cognitive therapy, and interventions from other evidence-supported therapies.
Dr. Inverso takes a vibrant, action-oriented, and aspiration-focused approach to partnering with clients – working together with them to find practical ways to move toward the things that are most important to them, and to experience empowerment when faced with challenges. She has particular expertise in supporting individuals – including youth – experiencing challenging voices or other symptoms associated with psychosis, anxiety, racing thoughts, life-transitions, depression, and self-harm.
Dr. Inverso received her doctorate in clinical psychology from Immaculata University in 2013 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine under the mentorship of Dr. Aaron T. Beck. Along with Dr. Beck and colleagues, she is co-author of the book, Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy for Serious Mental Health Conditions, published in 2020 by Guilford Press.
