Gao, Katherine MD

Katherine Gao MD graduated from Swarthmore College and The Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. She trained at Thomas Jefferson University’s psychiatry residency program and conducted neuroscience research at the National Institutes of Health.

Dr. Gao believes that the complexity of the mind necessitates a multifaceted field of medicine – one that is humanist, scientific, and philosophical – with correspondingly diverse treatment approaches. She has a keen interest in helping people with mental health issues – such as mood and anxiety disorders, psychosis, and insomnia – work toward their personal goals.
